Pasta Bolognese With Garlic Knots

This dish was super speacial to me considering the base of the sauce was made from tomatoes from our garden. Our oldest daughter also helped me prepare this Sunday feast as well which makes this even more special!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup Onion Chopped
  • Avocado oil spray
  • 1/2 Cup Carrots Shredded fine
  • 1 1/4 Pounds Ground beef 96/4
  • Nutmeg Just a pinch
  • 1/2 Cup Fat free half and half
  • 1/2 Cup Cashew milk
  • 5 ounces White wine
  • 2 Cups My Sunday sauce or any sauce of your choice ( My recipe linked in notes )
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh basil Chopped
  • Fresh shaved parmesan (Optional)
  • 10 oz Ronzoni 150 Pasta
  • Salt & Pepper To Taste

Garlic Knots

  • Avocado Oil Spray
  • Six 2 Ounce portions of Skinny Pizza Dough Linked in notes
  • Garlic powder Sprinkle
  • Spray Butter
  • Grated parmesan Sprinkle
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh Parsley

Instructions

  • In a pan saute the onions until translucent with some avocado oil spray
  • Add the carrots and celery ( Cook for a few minutes )
  • Add the beef , Nutmeg and cook all the way through
  • Turn heat down to low and add the fat free half and half as well as the cashew milk ( cook for another few minutes )
  • Add the wine and cook for about 5 minutes
  • Add my sunday sauce or sauce of your choice
  • While simmering, get your water boiling for pasta
  • Once ready to serve, add some cheese to the bolognese sauce and some fresh herbs
  • Serve over pasta

Garlic Knots

  • Set oven to 400
  • I made these with one batch of Skinny Pizz Dough ( Recipe in notes )
  • I let the dough rest in my microwave covered for a few hours before portioning into 2 ounce dough balls
  • Roll out into ropes
  • Knot the rope
  • Fold ends of knots underneath
  • Sprinkle with garlic powder
  • Spray a jumbo muffin pan with some avocado oil spray and plave knots inside. Place back into microwave covered to let rise again for another 30 minutes
  • Once done resting. Bake at 400 for 10 minutes
  • Once out of the oven , spray with some spray butter
  • Sprinkle with some cheese
  • Sprinkle with some garlic salt
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley
  • Enjoy at 2 WW POINTS each knot
