I love a good tuna melt, but they can tend to be a massive amount of calories and a lot of WW points.

It’s was super simple to put together and your typical tuna melt at a restaurant can run you a large 32 WW points from Friendly’s and 891 calories.

My lightened version is only 7 WW points and only 257 calories.

  • Frying Pan
  • Mixing bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 Slices Eat Royo Artisan Bread Discount in notes
  • 2 TBSP Light mayonaisse
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 Slice Borden Fat free american cheese singles

TUNA MIXTURE

  • 1 Can Wild Planet albacore tuna in water, or tuna of your choice
  • 1 TBSP Bolthouse Classic Ranch Dressing & Dip or ranch dressing of your choice
  • 1-2 TBSP Nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 TBSP Boar's Head Delicatessen Mustard or mustard of your choice
  • Splash of lemon juice tiny amount
  • 1/4 Cup Fresh chives Chopped
  • 1 tsp Dak's Nothin But Ranch or ranch seasoning of your choice
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste, optional

Instructions

  • Combine everything from the tuna mixture and set aside until ready to use
  • Take each slice of bread and spread a 1/2 TBSP of light mayo on each side then sprinkle some garlic powder on top.
  • Place the bread, mayonnaise side down onto a low heat pan
  • Split the tuna mixture into two portions
  • Add the tuna mixture, one slice of cheese following with the other slice of bread (mayonnaise side up)
  • Brown on both sides and enjoy

Ingredients

  • 1 5 oz. Wild Planet albacore tuna in water or tuna of your choice, drained
  • 1/2 Cup Celery diced
  • 1/4 Cup Red onions diced
  • Celery leaves chopped
  • 3 TBSP Fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tsp Dak's Nothin But Ranch or ranch seasoning of your choice
  • 2 TBSP New Bolthouse Classic Ranch yogurt dressing & Dip
  • 2 TBSP Non fat greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Delicatessan Boar's Head mustard or mustard of your choice
  • 2 TBSP Dill pickles chopped
  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Drain tuna and place into a bowl, use for to break up tuna
  • Add the rest of the ingredients
  • Season with salt & pepper to taste
  • Eat right away or place into the refridgerator for later

We have been making smash burgers for a few years now and they are the only way we will be making them from now on.

Not only are they extremely easy to make they are absolutely delicious and kid friendly.

These burgers are done in minutes because the beef is so thin and you’ll have dinner on your table under 30 minutes.

Borden cheese plays a HUGE roll in the melty goodness in these burgers and that is why I love that company so much.

Ingredients

BEEF MIXTURE

  • 20 oz. Ground beef 96/4
  • 1 TBSP Dak's Steakhouse seasoning or steakhouse seasoning of your choice
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • Yellow mustard

BURGER TOPPINGS & FIXINGS

  • Light burger buns one per person
  • Iceburg lettuce
  • Delicatessan Boar's Head Mustard
  • Ketchup
  • Dill pickles

CHEESE OF YOUR CHOICE

  • Borden fat free cheese slices see notes
  • Borden cheddar cheese see notes
  • Borden Pepper Jack see notes

Instructions

  • In a bowl combine the beef, steakhouse seasoning, salt & pepper. Mix with hands lightly DO NOT OVER MIX
  • Take the beef mixture and divide into 2 ounce portioned balls
  • Place onto a parchment paper and set aside
  • Preheat the cast iron pan to medium high heat with some avocado oil
  • Take a squirt of yellow mustard and place on top of each meat ball. Place onto the hot pan. Take a spatula or burger press and immedietly flatten the burger super thin patty.
  • Cook for about 30-40 seconds and flip
  • Add cheeses to patty and let sit to melt
  • Remove burgers and let rest on a plate for a few minutes
  • Assemble burger and enjoy
