Lightened Green Bean Casserole

Green bean casserole is a nostalgic dish at our holiday tables! The good old canned green bean casserole is what I'm talking about and that is what I made just a lighter version.

Ingredients

  • 3 14.5 oz. Canned french style green beans Drained
  • 1 10.5 oz. Campbell's 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/3-1/2 Cup Unsweetened almond milk Less almond milk, thicker sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion powder
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 6 TBSP French fried onions

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • In a casserole dish place the drained green beans in
  • In a separate bowl put the cream of mushroom soup in with the almond milk, thyme and season with salt & pepper to taste
  • Pour over the green beans and toss lightly
  • Cover with foil and place into the over for 40 minutes
  • Take out, uncover and place back into over for 15 minutes
  • Once out sprinkle the french fried onion over the top and place back into the oven for about 5-8 minutes and enjoy
