Spicy Turkey and Bean Burger Patties

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Air fryer or oven

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Perdue 98% fat free ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Dak's Taco Knight seasoning or taco seasoning of choice
  • 2 tsp Hidden Valley ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp Dak's Green Zest seasoning or Italian
  • 1/4 tsp Papa's Pepper Extreme or cayenne pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 Can Black beans drained and rinsed
  • 3/4 Can Rotel tomatoes with green chiles drained
  • 1/4-1/3 Cup Nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 Cup Kraft fat free cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 Cup CIlantro chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer or oven to 390 degrees.
  • In a bowl place the ground turkey.
  • Add all of the seasonings, black beans, rotel, nonfat Greek yogurt, cheddar cheese and cilantro.
  • Mix until combine **DO NOT OVER MIX, THIS WILL CREATE A DRY BURGER**.
  • Divide evenly into 4 portions.
  • Spray the air fryer tray or basket with cooking spray.
  • Place each burger patty onto the tray and spray the tops of the burger patties with cooking spray.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway and spraying burgers on the opposite side again with cooking spray.
  • Once cooked all the way through to 165 degrees.
  • Add cheese if desired and melt .
  • Assemble burger as you wish and enjoy!
