โ€ข Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or meal prep option

Ingredients

Light cream cheese
Whipped cottage cheese
Frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
Artichoke hearts, chopped
Grated parmesan cheese
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Onion, finely diced
Onion powder
Garlic powder
Salt
Black pepper
Red pepper flakes

Ingredient Benefits

Light Cream Cheese

Adds that classic creamy base with less fat and fewer calories than regular cream cheese.

Whipped Cottage Cheese

The secret protein booster. Cottage cheese adds creaminess while increasing protein content, helping keep you fuller longer.

Spinach

Packed with fiber, iron, and vitamins A and C. Using frozen spinach keeps this recipe affordable and easy.

Artichokes

High in fiber and antioxidants, artichokes add texture and flavor while supporting digestion.

Parmesan Cheese

Brings bold flavor so a little goes a long way. It adds protein and richness without needing extra cheese.

Mozzarella Cheese

Melts beautifully and creates that stretchy, comforting texture everyone loves.

Onion

Adds natural sweetness and depth of flavor while supporting immune health.

Garlic and Onion Powder

Enhance flavor without extra prep or cost.

Red Pepper Flakes

Optional, but great for adding a subtle kick and boosting metabolism slightly.

How to Make Protein Spinach and Artichoke Dip

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.

In a mixing bowl, combine the light cream cheese and whipped cottage cheese until smooth. Stir in the spinach, artichokes, onion, parmesan, mozzarella, and seasonings.

Mix until everything is well combined, then spread evenly into a baking dish.

Bake uncovered until hot and bubbly, with a lightly golden top. Let cool slightly before serving.

Serve warm with veggies, crackers, pita chips, or use it as a spread in wraps and sandwiches.

Why This Recipe Is Budget Friendly

This dip is proof that eating higher protein doesnโ€™t have to be expensive.

Shopping at Aldi keeps costs low with affordable dairy, frozen vegetables, and pantry staples. Frozen spinach and canned artichokes are inexpensive, and cottage cheese is one of the most affordable protein sources available.

You get a large batch for a fraction of the cost of store-bought dips or restaurant appetizers.
