Easy, flavorful, and perfect for everything—from tacos to bowls and salads.
If you’re looking to spice up your chicken game, this Elote Air Fryer Chicken is it. Juicy, bold, and full of warm, smoky flavor, it’s become one of my absolute favorites for a quick protein that doesn’t taste boring. You can make it in under 20 minutes, and it works beautifully in wraps, bowls, tacos—or best of all, my Mexican Street Corn Chicken Salad (trust me, it’s a must!).
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
This recipe combines the zesty magic of elote-inspired seasoning with the convenience of the air fryer. It’s one of those dishes that’s so versatile, you’ll want to meal prep it every week. Whether you’re tossing it into a salad, layering it into a rice bowl, or serving it with grilled veggies, this chicken does it all.
It’s also protein-packed, low in carbs, and bursting with flavor—no bland chicken here!
Ingredients
Here’s what you’ll need to make this spicy, savory goodness:
-
Chicken breast
-
Avocado oil or spray
-
Trader Joe’s Everything But the Elote Seasoning or fajita seasoning
-
Garlic powder
-
Onion powder
-
Chili powder
-
Dak’s Spices Street Taco Seasoning (optional, but amazing – use code CHEFALLIE at Dak’s for a discount!)
-
Lime zest + juice
-
Paprika
-
Salt + pepper
Flavor Notes
The elote seasoning adds a slightly sweet, cheesy, and tangy kick, while the chili, garlic, and onion powder round it out with savory depth. A little lime zest and juice bring the brightness, and if you add Dak’s Street Taco seasoning, you’ll take the flavor up another level.
Cooking Method
The air fryer gives you that juicy interior and slightly crispy outside—without needing a drop of breading. It’s quick, clean, and perfect for weeknight meals or batch-cooking for the week ahead.
