I personally LOVE mushrooms and love them even more on my own personal pizza.
I am the only one in my house that enjoys and loves mushrooms so when it is pizza night, I make sure to load up on mushrooms,
This Mushroom Lover’s Pizza is heaven!
Here is what you will need:
- My Bizzy Kitchen Skinny Pizza dough, recipe link HERE
- Small cast iron pan, HERE is the one I use
- Whipped cottage cheese, see notes in recipe
- Fat free mozzarella cheese
- Avocado oil
- Mushrooms
- Salt & Pepper to taste

- Garlic salt
- Bilinkski’s organic wild mushroom with Italian herbs chicken sausage
- Fresh basil to garnish

Cast iron pans are the only thing I used for pizza nights. The crust ALWAYS turns out amazing. HERE is the one I use for my personal size.
You can certainly use any cheese you would like. I love the fat free mozzarella cheese and it melts perfectly in the oven.
Sauteed mushrooms are the most amazing thing. I am the only one in the house that likes and eats mushrooms, so this pizza was ALL for me!
I recently found this brand at Whole Foods and love them. The calories are great, but the ingredients are even more great.
I LOVE this brand for cottage cheese. If you cannot find this one-use Daisy.

Adding garlic salt to the crust on my pizza is a game changer. So, when you do it, let me know how you like it.
Fresh basil is key when making pizzas. If you do not have fresh basil just sprinkle a little dried basil on top when the pizza is done.
Here is how to make it:
- You will first need to make Skinny Pizza dough, Grab the recipe HERE
- Once you make the dough, portion out the amount you would like to use
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
- Roll the portioned dough into a lightly greased cast iron pan
- Add the whipped cottage cheese followed by the shredded cheese
- Add the chicken sausage and mushrooms
- Spray the crust lightly with avocado oil followed by the garlic salt
- Add the remaining seasonings on top of the pizza
- Bake at 425 degrees for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown
- Garnish with fresh basil, grated parmesan and red pepper flakes

Ingredients
- 6 oz. Skinny Pizza Dough recipe linked in notes
Pizza Toppings
- Avocado oil spray
- 55 grams Whipped cottage cheese see notes
- 1/2 Cup Fat free mozzarella cheese or cheese of choice
- 1 Bilinski's mushroom chicken sausage Sliced
- 1/2 Cup Mushrooms sautรฉ
- 1/4 tsp Dak's Green Zest seasoning or dried basil and oregano
- 1/4 tsp Dak's Italian Blast seasoning optional
- Garlic salt to taste
Garnish
- Red pepper flakes optional
- Grated parmesan Optional
Instructions
- First make a single batch of Skinny Pizza Dough
- Preheat oven to 425
- Once done, portion into preferred amount. I used 6 ounces for this pizza
- Roll dough into a small cast iron that is lightly sprayed with avocado oil
- Place the whipped cottage cheese down followed by the fat free mozzarella cheese
- Add the chicken sausage and mushrooms
- Spray the crust lightly with avocado oil and sprinkle garlic salt along the crust
- Add the seasonings around the pizza and place into a 425-degree oven
- Bake until golden brown, about 10-15 minutes
- Garnish with grated parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Optional
