Pumpkin Sage Hummus

The perfect Thanksgiving appetizer!

How gorgeous is this? This came together so easily and tastes amazing!

Here is what you will need:

  • Food processor
  • Canned chickpeas
  • Pure pumpkin puree
  • Tahini
  • Cumin
  • All spice
  • Paprika
  • Lemon juice
  • Olie oil
  • Minced garlic
  • Fresh sage
  • Roasted pumpkin seeds

Here is the food processor that I use that I got from Amazon. Order HERE if you’d like to get one too.

You can purchase any kind of chickpeas, you’d like.

Any pumpkin puree will do as long as it IS NOT pumpkin pie filling and only pure pumpkin puree.

I LOVE this brand for Tahini. You can purchase only at The Tahini Goddess and use code CHEFALLIE for 15% off.

Any pumpkin spice will do, but I am a BIG fan of Dak’s Spice’s and if you’d like to try it out just use code CHEFALLIE at Dak’s Spices

Lemon juice

You could use fresh or already minced garlic. Fresh sage or dried sage (not ground).

How to make it:

  1. First take the chickpeas and drain, rinse and take the skin off of the chickpeas
  2. Place the chickpeas into the food processor with the pumpkin, tahini, lemon juice and seasonings
  3. Blend for 30-40 seconds then scrape the edges
  4. season with salt and pepper to taste then blend again for about 1 minute until super smooth
  5. While blending the hummus, take the avocado oil and place the garlic and chopped sage into the pan and cook for about 30 seconds
  6. Place to the side until cooled
  7. Once cooled, add to the food processor
  8. Place hummus into a serving bowl and garnish with salt, more oil (optional) and some roasted pepitas
  9. Serve with veggies, crackers or pretzels and enjoy
