First things first, grab a bunch of fresh, vibrant, and oh-so-colorful carrots. We’re talking about those beauties that will make you wish you were Bugs Bunny. Give them a good scrub and trim off the tops. We don’t want any unruly carrot hair getting in the way of our flavor party.

Once your seasonings are ready, toss those carrots and give them a good massage, because everyone deserves a little pampering, even our veggies.

Now it’s showtime! Preheat your oven, grab a baking sheet and lay those carrots out in a single layer. We want them to roast evenly and get that beautiful caramelization going on. Pop those babies in the oven and let them work their magic for about 20-25 minutes. Keep an eye on them though, because nobody likes a burnt carrot. Here is what you need:

  • Oven
  • Sheet pan
  • Parchment paper
  • Whole carrots
  • Avocado oil spray
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Onion powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Dak’s Spices Green Zest or Italian seasoning
  • Fresh grated parmesan cheese or grated parm of choice
  • Balsamic glaze
  • Parsley 

Here is how to make it:

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees
  2. Wash carrots with a vegetable brush and cold water
  3. Cut carrots into sticks and pour into a large mixing bowl
  4. Spray the carrots with avocado oil spray and shake to make sure coated well
  5. Season generously with garlic powder, onion powder, Dak’s Green Zest or Italian seasoning, salt and pepper
    1. Make sure to shake carrots between sprinkling the seasonings.
  6. Pour out onto a parchment lined sheet tray
  7. Make sure the carrots are evenly distributed on the sheet try
  8. Place into the oven for about 20-30 minutes or until nice and roasted
  9. Remove and sprinkle with the grated parmesan cheese immediately
  10. Drizzle with balsamic glaze 
  11. Garnish with parsley and more salt
